Events by Network for Good: Let’s make this right!
We’ve been sharing with you improvements to our Events tools that we are super excited about: Livestreaming, sponsorships, A/V support, event coaching, auctions and more to come in 2022.
Along the way, we made a mistake and I want to clearly and transparently acknowledge that. We made a big investment in building what we believe you will find to be an Essential Events product. And we were eager to get folks to try it out before the coming Spring events season and, honestly, to create revenue we could invest in making it even better at helping you raise money. In our rush, we communicated that Events Lite (a limited version of our Essential Events product included with Donor Management subscriptions) would be capped at selling 30 tickets and that an upgrade to our Essential Events product, with all the new features, was required thereafter.
It’s since come to our attention that many small nonprofits, as a result of the announced change, would no longer be able to afford the ticketing functionality they needed to sustain their mission. That’s not good and we want to make it right. That’s why, after listening to feedback from dozens of our customers, we’re making three helpful changes to our Events Lite offering.
- We’ve removed the cap on free tickets – fundraisers will now have access to an unlimited number of free event registrations.
- We’ve increased the maximum number of paid tickets that can be sold to attendees from 30 to 50 with no additional fees.
- For events with more than 50 attendees, additional tickets can now be sold to attendees for $1 per ticket over the 50 paid ticket sales cap
We believe this plan makes it more comfortable for those with simpler events to continue using our Events Lite product throughout the year.
For organizations seeking to host larger or more frequent fundraising events with confidence, our Essential Events offering includes additional features, such as:
- Unlimited paid and free tickets
- Unlimited ticket types
- Text-to-give for events
- Sponsorship solicitation & management
- Livestreaming with live chat
- Priority and weekend support for your event
- and more features that will be released in late Spring, like check-in and discount codes for tickets.
Importantly, both Events Lite and Essential Events integrate with our auctions tools and the donor management system, giving nonprofit leaders the actionable data they need to turn event attendees into long-term supporters.
We value the relationships we’ve built with the inspiring nonprofits who use Network for Good’s technology and are grateful to the leaders of those organizations who took the time to share how this change would impact them. We hear you. We applaud the work you’re doing to make this world a better place. Thank you for making Network for Good part of your nonprofit’s story.
Cheers to creating a brighter future together.
